An evil scientist known as Dr. Glitcher has a plan to glitch up the entire planet with his multiple ultimate weapons, with one that would glitch up the entire world! Only one with the powerful bond between family and friends would have to save the world and become the ultimate glitch annihilators.

Controls Story/Writing/Dialogue
So, I just played the game :).It is very...interesting. Graphics need a lot of work, and I feel as some of the level music could be swapped w/ each other(like the beginning level, and world 2's music should be swapped especially).I keep running into this glitch, where Smash keeps randomly slowing down, and it causes an error that states "Parent not found" and makes me have to restart the game. It happens quite frequently. Luckily the save/load are a thing, so I saved often. I made it all the way to Dr.Glitcher's castle. And I accidentally saved during the glitch.So I have to start the whole game over :(.The snipers are pretty annoying, but give a nice challenge to the game. Smash's in-game sprites and collision need some work. I think it would look better if smash was on 32x32 canvas. The Design of the enemies are kinda weird. I think they should also be animals too, considering that Smash, and Ava are animals too. Dr.Glitcher's hands are weird looking, and his face needs some pallet changes.Overall, at the moment, I'd say this game is a 6/10 experience. Needs some fine tuning, in the beginning story, graphics, and physics. But overall pretty good. I also posted this review on the facebook page for this too, just so you know.

Hey, thanks for the feedback! In my next projects I will see what I can do with the graphics. But at least the game itself is favorably received. If I need to remake the game in the future, I would just change the graphics, but at least the level design is good.

Level Design Physics
The graphics are very rough but there are successful games with rough graphics, it is still a style and if you make it consistent then you can make anything work as long as the other stuff carries it. I think instead of focusing on the graphics like people are saying, prioritize physics because it's making the game difficult in the bad way. 2 things specifically: after I kill an enemy sometimes I clip into the floor and can't move until I jump, and make the wall jump more reliable. Also, sometimes an enemy will just spawn onto my head and kill me. I think I noticed a design solution where you have a little platform that they spawn onto before they drop, I think that was brilliant.

Hey, thanks for the feedback. Yes. I am aware of those issues and there will be later update patches after version 1.6.0 that will fix those types of issues. Including crash bugs and the overall performance of the game!

game maker studio tip that will help you .

when making dialogs, when the text is too long you split it into two different messages. and that's bad cuz is like you cut the continuity of the message.

instead of doing

message[1]=im here to take back what's

message [2]=right for our friends


message[1]= im just here to take back what's # right for our friends

another example:

instead of
message[1]=what's up doctor what's all this glitchy
message[2]=fuss you're up to.


message[1]= what's up doctor, what's all this glitchy # fuss you're up to.

the hashtag symbol # its useful to split lines when text is too large and don't fit in just one line


don't use black outlines inside the sprites for separate colours

this is noticeable in your red panda player, notice how it has those white square dots with a black outline,
when i first played your game i thought, what is that thing? it is sick? why it has those white squares?.then i noticed it was supposed to be a red panda.

look at this sprite example of a red panda that i found on internet

notice how the white spots shading should be.

black outlines should be used only to contourn the sprite, never to shade or separate colors.

is noticeable too in smash sprites, it look like it has a hole in his tummy.
ringtails cats are more like gray with white tummy rather than white with a perforated tummy xD.

and is noticeable too in the urban blues helicopters(in smash 2), they have that ugly black line separating the white and dark shading.colors.

there is some inconsistent art , like in some cutcenes you used Ava old design (the one with white fur instead of red)
also happends in smash 2.

Level Design Game Graphics
The level design seems good and I had some fun going through the levels.
Unfortunately, the graphics and music could use a lot more work.
The worst part is the glitches. Stopping while moving, clipping through stuff, and a certain glitch at Act 3 -3. where you spawn outside of the world, leading you to either have to do the whole game again, or press SHIFT to bring up the credits and instantly unlock a level select. I don't want to have to do that to win.
You have lots of potential with Smash Ringtail Cat and you seem enthusiastic with what you're doing! Keep it up!

Thanks for the feedback, I will work on fixing the game ASAP once I get my windows 10 fixed, or if I get GameMaker Studio 2, I'll fix the bugs, and even port the game to Mac and Linux/Ubuntu!
