Hey, it's been a while! Today is the release of version 0.5 of Flooding and I can't wait to show everyone! Let's start with the less important stuff.
Less Important Stuff
    
  Replaced Lava texture with a more Rainbow look!
      Renamed Lava to Unicorn Puke(Lol).
      Removed Resolution Settings to give me time to fix it!
     
Massive performance improvements!!

     Created a Whole New Map that emphasizes Gameplay and     is very pretty!
      Added a new Laser Sight for players to see where they can and can'y grapple hook!
      Removed Wall Running entirely from the game as in playtesting I found that it didn't fit and was to buggy!
      A new ability is coming to replace Wall Running(More on that later)!
     There is now a mechanic called "Double Jump Reset) where if you collide with anything you reset your double jump count!
     Last, I changed the Grapple Hook Cooldown from 1 sec >>> 0.75 secs to help replace Wallrunning!

Mechanics
I don't understand how you made it weight 1.1 GB, when there is almost nothing in the game. Grapple works pretty meh, wallrun doesn't even work I think, lava should be just a rising plane and under her you use shader, pretty much the same thing as underwater shader, and not instantiate shit ton of cubes. Some builds have missing models I think. You should make a indicator for a player to see how far they can shoot the grapple, and the game is too easy.

Cool idea but it needs a lot of work and optimalization, because 1.1GB for something like this is a joke.

I'm sorry to hear that you don't like my game. Though the Wall Running is better used as thing to use to regenerate your double jump. Though for your map concerns I am considering building another map that instead of a city it would be more abstract with more colors and different shapes. Though please remember this is only v0.2. And last the reason the game is so large is because I used Unreal Engine which is known for not being the most efficient in storage. Though thank you for being the first Roast of my game, it is much appreciated to hear feedback. I will try to put your ideas into the game.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that you can't restart after dying, menu from clicking M doesn't show up, so it may be a bug. And I think more stylized art style would be a better fit for this game, because hyper realistic one doesn't sit too well for this type of game in my opinion. I think low poly art style would be a perfect fit.

And I may sound harsh, but I really like your idea, always wanted to play something like this as a kid, so keep on developing and give some good ass game in the future.

Yeah, after watching vladyslu, I can say that it is a bug, the death screen just doesn't show up and I have to alt+F4, because there is nothing I can do, on the download I'm playing

There isn't anything to record, it's just that the game over screen doesn't show up, and you're stuck thanks to not being able to respawn.

I was about to see if the bug is on 0.3v but you need to have permission to download it.

The bug is most likely still there as I have found no way of replicating it, unless I fixed it by accident(Hopefully) I am also working on the permission thing, as I would like to apologize for how many things are going wrong with the game.

Hey. I just played your demo. I love it. At first, I forgot how to use my abilities. However, later I figured it out, and I finished the game without dying. I did not escape the city, though. Also, I had some fps issues in high settings, and the game changed my resolution settings after going to the main screen. I would suggest you add some ability shop in the future. For example, you would be able to collect coins and spend them on time freez or hook upgrades. I hope to see the game updated in the future. I recorded how I played your game on the video. I'm very glad to hear that you liked my game! I know about FPS issues and the resolution bug which I fixed I just haven't released the patch yet! I have watched your video too and I will take your ideas into account. The video is very nice as I can see what you think of the game while your playing it. The reason the fullscreen is going to windowed when you press it is because it it executes a console command which is a toggle. Last, I need to make it more obvious on how to win as I can see that you didn't see the little doorway to win the game.

It is all ok. I agree that it can be difficult. I make small video games myself. Also, I am hosting a game jam that is going to happen at the end of September. This jam will last four days, and everyone will be able to vote. You do not have to create a masterpiece there. This jam is for developers with any skill level. Mechanics Game Graphics
Now we are talking, from 1.1GB to 255MB. Those blocks that kill you at the end, are unecessery and make me want to quit the game. I don't like how grapping resets your velocity, and just make it so that you can't use the grappling if you're not in the range(don't reset the cooldown, just make it so that nothing happens when you're out of range), because as a core mechanic in the game, it's not really fun to use the grappling gun. You should check out dani's videos about 3D fps (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rb0EhmyQ0aM&list=PLYCF9m5Atk1eWUtwekx8auskpW48bioqh), because there are many similar mechanics in those videos to the ones you're making. Rainbow puke doesn't sit well with me, I think cartoony lava would work better. Dash works more like a boost, than a dash. Platform is pretty useless, and I don't think it's working properly. Jetpack is stoping at 1%, so you lost two zeros. Shotgun is really bad, too weak and why do I have to look infront to make it work? Why teleportation is a raycast? The way it works now makes it just a worse version of grappling gun. Why can you go down in anti-gravity???? It should be named lower-gravity. I won't be commenting on map, because I can cleary see it's for testing purpose.

To sum it up, I don't find grappling gun fun, abilites fun, movement fun(it's just spamming jump next to wall)

Hey. I played and recorded one more video about the game. I love new upgrades. However, there was a moment that did not allow me to enjoy the game entirely thoroughly. Sometimes, my character started running on walls l even when I did not hold space. Also, I could not stop running on walls for some reason.
Additionally, it felt like I did not miss it when I used my web, and it said that I missed while I actually had a glowing square on a wall. It does not mean that your game is terrible. All games have bugs, and it is a usual thing when some features can feel uncomfortable to some people.
P.S. it may feel that I am angry in the video. I just was tired. I still enjoyed playing it.

Hey thanks for trying my game again. I loved your video and the reason the character would start wall running without holding space is that you must have pressed space at the exact moment you hit the wall. That bug will be fixed in the next patch

Mechanics Level Design
Died many times though its actually quite addictive. I kept improving. I do think as a starter level it should be made super easy and then progress harder and harder. Basic, Simple and addictive which makes a good game
