MineClone 2

MineClone 2 is an open-ended survival sandbox game. Survive, gather, hunt, build, explore, and do much more.
The goal of this project is to create a imitatation of Minecraft that is 100% free software.
Gameplay
Explore vast random worlds, gather materials, survive hunger and monsters and build your own little virtual home. But there's much more to do:
- Mine: Break blocks and collect them. Almost everything is breakable
- Craft: Combine your gathered resources for better tools, items and blocks
- Build: Create the buildings of your dreams, one block at a time
- Explore: Take a hike in a vast overworld, cross the oceans with a boat, find treasures in lost dungeons and temples
- Portals: Build a portal to the dangerous Nether for a challenge
- Survive: Always carry food with you and beware of monsters in the dark
- Farm: Grow your own crops or even a whole forest
- Colorize: Use dyes and paint your world with 16 colors
- Destroy: Tired of construction? Burn everything to the ground!
- Creative Mode: Disable all limits, get any block and item. Perfect for creative building.
How to play
MineClone 2 is a game for the Minetest engine (version 0.4.16 or 0.4.17), so you need to install Minetest first, then install MineClone 2 in Minetest.
Refer to the Minetest Wiki to learn how to use Minetest.

MineClone 2 is free software. You can use, share and modify this game freely under certain conditions (see license).
Fix a crash related to nametag.
There are no concrete plans for the next version and it's still a long way to completion.
The to-do list for version 1.0.0 is long. The game started as an attempt to imitate Minecraft PC Edition, version 1.11 as good is possible with the Minetest engine. This goal is still largely true, but it will not be a 100% perfect clone as this would just drive me nuts and some features of Minecraft don't deserve cloning.
In the end, MineClone 2 is still a game which stands on its own.
Major planned features for version 1.0.0:
- Finish re-implementing most or all gameplay features of Minecraft 1.11
- Finish the End dimension
- Mechanisms (with redstone)
- Experience and enchanting
- Rework mobs
- Re-implement items, blocks and mobs from Minecraft 1.11
- More generated structures
- Fixing all the bugs!
