Meteor Hit

This is a game I worked on solo and it took me 6 months over 2 years!
It is a minimalist fast paced vertical space shooter with retro gfx.
The gameplay is very focused on the player skills over collecting upgrade/weapons to improve spaceships.
It is not all about asteroids, you will come across various levels with differents style.
Your dodging skills will be put to the test!

Game Graphics Tutorial/Learning CurveLooks and plays great. Music is irritating. My biggest complaint is the weapon progression. Felt like I spent too much time farming stars in level one to get the upgrade. I made it to level two.

Thanks for your feedback.Yes I agree with the music. I find it very repetitive myself and not varied at all. I will try to work on it.
When would you say the upgrade should be made available?
Did you find the game difficult at all?

Game is pretty easy. There seem to be long stretches where you go without finding any stars (or unable to blow up blocks that block the star drops), so it might just be a case of spreading them out more evenly. I would say it started feeling like farming after I gathered 10 or so. I think that first upgrade will hook people, so it should be introduced more quickly.majiho 4 years ago
Thanks for the advice. Will add more stars in the 1st level or lower the stars required for the first upgrade.As for the blocks that block the stars drop, only the Boomerang ship can reach them.

I really like the game graphics, those neon colors make the game looks cool,
I share my opinion about the music being a bit irritating along with the machine gun sound.
Machine gun feels slow if there where more bullets and if they where faster that will mean more destruction and more fun and that also applies to the other locked guns,
The moment I really enjoy te game is is when you are transformed in to that meteor shape , there is to much speed and destruction.

Thank you for the constructive feedback. Much appreciated :)I agree the music and sound effect need some improvement and I am currently working on it.
I am thinking to add endless mode to the game which will allow more invisible mode like "meteor shape" which I feel players find it more fun.

That would be nice, endless mode,also one more thing, I just got to see the reward video (to continue), did not see any interstitial.

I updated the music which I hope sounds better now.
Stars wise, Level 1 has now a few more stars.
And ships wise, I added an option which allows the more impatient to try the ship by watching an ad.
