I like the concept of the conquest and troops movement, also, area control looks promising.
You have to find the solution on the interesting combats (even if they are just rolling the dice). Take a ref from CK3, EU4 and others. They all have a core feature in this.
And UI for strateges is always a week place. It must be not irritating.
