Ball Thing (Working title)

by

A comic-book styled endless runner for Android only (for now).

  • Hone your reactions through dodging increasingly challenging obstacles.
  • Survive as long as you can and collect balls for a high score.
  • Post your high-score to the leaderboard, and challenge your friends.
  • Pick up magnets to boost your score even faster.

  • Challenge-based levels (similar to those in Alto's Adventure, for example)
  • Sound

The game seems too old, even thought it's a 2021 game, but definitely the idea is interesting

Out of interest, in what way do you think it seems "too old"? Do you mean visually, or just the type of game, or something else?

Oh right. I disagree, but thank you anyway. Did you play the game? Or are you judging from the screenshots? I ask because I noticed you only left 1 minute in between roasts of different games.

Yeah, I judged from screenshots.
Maybe the drawing kind is just not my thing, the drawings overall are fine, maybe you should try to move the game to 3D

Game Graphics Controls
I really like the comicbook aesthetic you have going on here. IMO, the blocks and the background should be more contrasting colors... red on red doesn't look that great.

My first issue is controls... at first I tried to swipe rather than just hold and move. A tutorial overlay in the beginning might be nice.
Also, I really want the sounds... I know that will come later, but it looks pretty good, I just wish it sounded good.

I will admit I didn't get very far, but I hope / want to see power ups... maybe screen shakes? other "juicy" things in the game.
