You may want to rewrite your intro. The family services letters does not really make much sense. If family services was there, why aren't they interfering more? The tone seems to shift from that of family services to someone more ....personally invested then back again. Since this is supposed to be a story game, you may want to try a different source. Even the main character themselves might b e a good person to do, since they could know this stuff and decide to leave. Why are there bombs? I don't really understand the symbolism of robots in a house full of neglect? I would like to know how to move through stairs, since I can't to get the key. A tutorial would be nice to help me get more familiar with the mechanics, since at first, I thought a robot was able to see me through the floor, but then I realized it was a bomb that detoned after I was like a few feet past it, and I couldn't figure out how to get under the stairs to get the key, or why I had a timer. Is it a score thing or do I have a time limit, and if the timer gits a certain point, game over? I also couldn't understand how to get the the third floor, or how to deal with the robot. What you might try is having helpful hints relating to the death registered like "you triggered a bomb. You can avoid them by jumping over them or running past them." Or "you found a robot. Make sure they don't somehow see you through the floors".
I really like the music though. It's very atmospheric.
