I really like the concept, it looks like it works well
The graphics are a bit trippy to be honest. I feel like if I played for more than a few minutes the contrast of the rings against the background moving would give me a bit of a headache. Would it be worth exploring the idea of more subtle colour differences between the foreground and background? Maybe a soft gradient on the rings so they fade slightly on the outer edges to make them seem less harsh against the background
