I didn't know the singleton could be implemented like that. I'll try both the one I know and the one you explained to see what works best in this case.

The ball is made so that it can never go completely horizontal and also slightly shifts the trajectory at each bounce in order to avoid 'loops' where the ball is stuck going back and forth in a pattern that doesn't lead to anything. I also think that the randomization and adjustments might be too much. Thanks for the feedback!
