Strings of Ambivalence


Strings of Ambivalence combines the fast paced action of side-scrolling platformers with the intense decision making layer of role playing games. "Trine meets Dragon Age"

The game is currently just past the concept stage, with robustly working platforming, combat, and dialogue systems.


There is no playable demo available at this time. I would like to receive honest and constructive feedback about:

1) Game's Teaser Trailer
2) Feel of the gameplay scenes in the trailer and screenshots
3) Structure and aesthetics of the game web page.

Every bit of feedback is very precious for our game development and helps provide us direction.

The voice on the trailer its quite monotonous, would sound better, if some parts has bigger emphasis.
You said it combine the fast paced action of side-scrolling, but, with the images of the trailer it's seems kinda slow.
The web page looks good but instead of having and static front image, why not adding a carousel?

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. It has helped a lot.
We are looking into a remake of the voice-over with some more ambitious narrative.
Which part of the images in the trailer look slow: the cinematic scenes, or the gameplay scenes? How would you suggest to make it more dynamic (which scenes to take out?
I like the idea about having a carousel.

Starting from the minute 1:00 those scenes i think are the cinematics, they feel kinda slow, probably can be accelerated with faster particles

I appreciate the game graphics, but you have to improve the story and the dialogue between characters.

I love the mechanic, it seems really interesting, i want to see more of it ASAP!

Also i like the setting (story and such), if you work on it a little more it can be great, has a lot of potential!
