Funky Robot

Guide your robot through randomly generated levels as you avoid spikes, pitfalls, mines and enemies. Collect as many spare parts as you can find and deliver them to the checkpoint before time runs out. Use your abilities - Boost and Hover but remember to keep track of your power!

Game Graphics Tutorial/Learning CurveThis could be quite a cute little game I think, but it's not good when you start.
When you first start to play you don't know what anything is. Those mine things, hmm, don't know what that is, lets run over it. Oh, I'm dead. To carry on I need to watch a video, well thanks for that.
And what exactly is the aim of the game. I don't know and can't be bothered to find out because I've watched 2 videos that I didn't want to now and haven't even got into the game. You'll never get enough downloads to make any money if people don't get into the game and give you good reviews.
I don't normally play games like this, so it is possible other people will know what to do more and so find it easier to get into. I would suggest however to never display an advert until people have been playing it for at least a few minutes and can decide whether they like the game before adverts start annoying them.
Also, on my device, a 7 inch tablet the graphics were a little fuzzy, including the text. You could do with improving that. The white text could do with a black outline (or background) as well, since I couldn't see it properly on some backgrounds (right at the start).
A bit negative I know, but the first few minutes of game play is pretty crucial. I'm starting to realise I need to apply that to my game. This game has potential and I think could be a lot nicer with not too much work, so good luck with it.

PPS: Actually I played it a little more and it got better quickly. I would still recommend no adverts for the first 10 minutes and some idea of what you have to do to finish at least the first level.shlippy 6 years ago
Hi there, sorry for the delay getting back to you, haven't checked this in a while.Thanks for playing my game anyway! I didn't wan't to have too much tutorial in the game because I feel too many games do that and don't just let you figure it out. I guess the graphics need some work because that is a common complaint. The option to watch an ad was meant for people who want to continue their high score, you can always just end game and press play again instead.
I do need to explain better what the objective of the game is. The main objective is to collect as many spare parts (yellow cogs) and deliver them to the rocket. You get 10 points for every part delivered and a bonus for delivering at least one part. I have been thinking how to make this better, will probably change in the next update (if there is one).
There game is procedurally generated so there aren't really levels, it was meant to be more like a high score arcade game. Anyway thanks again for checking out my game, i know its shite but it did take a long time to make so at least someone has played it.
