An Unconventional Weapon

Objective: The objective is to stop the robotic spiders steeling all your electronic equipment with your water pistol. Controls: W,A,S,D - Move around Click - Fire your water pistol E - Build barricades You can upgrade your water pistol and reload speed for a short period from the taps. This game was made in 48 hours for Ludum Dare game making competition. The theme was ‘An Unconventional Weapon’

Story/Writing/Dialogue ControlsCute audio! It's hard te play on a trackpad.. pity there was no JIKL keys to control the squirter.

Mechanics Game GraphicsA tutorial at the beginning would nice to understand well how functions the game, I took a minute to understand how to build barricades haha.
The game idea is nice, but needs a lot of work to make a difference to the other zombie like games.
Maybe you can add more weapons like mines or something like that.
You can add visual warnings for see from which side are coming the spiders.

The game idea is nice, but needs a lot of work to make a difference to the other zombie like games.

Mechanics MechanicsFun game to play...I couldn't figure out how to get the barricades part going but the rest of it was crazy.
I think its a nice core mechanic, I love the way the water cannon shoots, and those spiders make me want to keep away from them.
I think you'll need to build a lot on the mechanics of the game for a full blown version though...it requires more complications, more elements to make it fun over a long period of play time
